How will you get around?

Choose transport around the journey you actually need to make.

Start with the connection

Make a separate decision for each leg. The tourism office describes rail and coach travel and links to ONCF for rail enquiries; CTM’s official site offers a coach search by origin, destination and date. Start there for an intercity move. A result for your city is not enough: check the exact station or stop and the service date.

For Al Boraq, use the station name

ONCF’s network guide lists Casa Voyageurs, Rabat Agdal, Kénitra and Tanger as Al Boraq stations. Keep those station distinctions when planning: “Casablanca” or “Rabat” alone does not identify the station. ONCF describes onward rail travel to Fes via a change at Kénitra and to Marrakech via Casa Voyageurs. An Al Boraq connection does not mean the same train runs to your final city. Confirm services and connection time for your date before paying, then check the date, time, class, carriage and seat on your ticket.

Write a door-to-door journey

Use three lines: accommodation to departure point; intercity service; arrival point to the next accommodation. Add the location, time, cost and booking reference to each line once confirmed. Keep “not checked” beside an unresolved part so a booked intercity ticket does not make the whole transfer look complete.

Ask about the things your group needs

Confirm luggage arrangements, assistance and step-free access directly when relevant. Describe the requirement rather than asking only whether a service is “accessible” or “family friendly.” For example: “Can this journey be completed without steps, including boarding and the arrival point?” Record who answered and which date or service their answer covers.

For CTM, plan time for luggage

CTM charges for hold baggage. Its published conditions ask passengers to reach the boarding agency at least 30 minutes before departure with hold luggage, or 15 minutes without it. Build that time into the journey from your accommodation. Check the charge for your bags and keep the baggage ticket with your travel documents.

Choose ticket conditions as well as a departure

CTM distinguishes tickets with and without its Flex option. Eligible Flex reimbursement takes the form of a single-use voucher valid for six months, rather than cash; the option cost is excluded. Before choosing, read the change and cancellation conditions for your ticket and consider whether you could use a voucher. The FAQ’s general non-refundable answer omits the Flex exception, so consult the dedicated Flex page and conditions of sale linked below.

Compare the complete move

Add the costs of all three legs for everyone travelling, along with any charges the provider confirms. Our route sketches reserve a transfer day for the complete move, not because a verified timetable requires a whole day on board. Avoid placing a paid activity immediately after a connection until you understand the timing and booking conditions.

Keep one usable travel note

Save the exact departure and arrival locations, confirmed times, booking references and provider contact details somewhere available offline. Check the ticket conditions before paying and revisit the operator information before travelling. The route outlines below include dated coach examples; refresh the search for your own journey and keep the final ticket conditions alongside it.
